Standing ovation,
The sound of clapping echoes-
Wind in the palm trees.

Thunderous howling,
A plea to open the door-
Dog barking in rain.

Yellow and white snake
Slithering through my dream world-
Sharp-tongued courier.

Calling my spirit,
Beckoning me to visit-
Cabin on the lake.

Locked in and focused.
Honing skills and practicing-
Sharpening the saw.

Flaky chocolate shell,
Filled with sweet, creamy goodness-
Holy cannoli!

Legs crossed, eyes half-closed.
Exuding warmth and pure joy-
A laughing Buddha.

The Earth’s gift to us,
Beaming light and energy-
Sparkling quartz crystal.

All sizes and shapes,
Semi-precious to costume-
Bead Show with the girls!

Cloves and cinnamon
Linger and dance on my tongue-
Freshly steeped Chai tea.
