Haiku and Coffee 1.11.15 ~Bullseye~

Target set down range, Front and rear sights all lined up- Taking my best shot.

Caring for others Even when the weather’s bad. Unconditional.

Rain’s gone, door’s open! Scratch, peck, scratch, peck…yummy worm! Dry feet, warm feathers.

Fire, gas, water, air. Four elements with no fear- The earth, it grounds me.

Tension and pressure Releasing in its warm glow- December full moon.

Prepared for what’s next, A step ahead of the game. Empowered, no fear.

Dormant, yet alive, Storing energy for spring- Rich soil under frost.

Round and round he goes, Rooting under woolen fleece- Terrier nesting.

Halos from head lights, Visibility, 2 feet- Dense fog warning.
